Hi all,

I wondered if someone out there could help...

At present we have Inaport 5 running with Goldmine 5.7. We are in the process of upgrading to Inaport 7 and Goldmine 7.

I have read on here about there being a big issue with converting profiles from 5 to 6 but how do I go about doing it from 5 to 7?

Unfortunately, the issue with 5 to 6 and 5 to 7 is the same. V6 was essentailly a complete rewrite of the profile editor and how tables are handled for GoldMine, and the only way to upgrade is to redo the profiles. Moving from V6 to V7 is painless - profiles will run. The compensation is that the end result is a lot moe powerful.

It is possible to have V7 installed on the same machine as V5, and have both running at the same time. This way, you can have theV5 profile open at the time you are building the V7 profile.
